Heartburn

Which otc medications are safe to use during pregnancy? I would prefer not to eat a bunch of tums and end up with kidney stones.

I took Zantac with DD. Worked like a charm, and it's on the safe list from my current midwife too.

Yep, Zantac, Pepcid AC or Prilosec are all okay according to my OB. I would start with Zantac or Pepcid. Feel better soon! My heartburn has been awful with this pg.

Ditto. Zantac (ranitidine) & Pepcid (famotidine) are both category B for pregnancy, and Prilosec (omeprazole) is category C. My OB wasn't worried about me being on Prilosec, which I've been on for years.
