Re: Wading pool in the front yard

One set of neighbors pulls a kiddie pool out of their garage & fills then uses it in their front yard a couple times a week. They always empty it & never leave it unattended. I think it's odd because they have a huge & level backyard.

I also have neighbors with water features such as babbling brooks in their front yards, but they are seriously at or under 2" deep. I personally would not leave a pool visible in any part of my yard unsupervised if it was not inside a locked fence.

We do because there is no level place in our back yard and I hate grass bits in the pool. We sit it on rubber mats right on the driveway. We have a sand box, huge cantilever umbrella, and playhouse on the driveway too I feel so ghetto.

no. backyard because it's more private and i think it looks tacky to have things like that in the front yard.

Re: Wading pool in the front yard

It would be really nice to have the pool on the driveway....

We don't have a front yard and our back yard is completely dirt and the kids always end up getting the water really dirty really fast.

No because our front yard is on a main road and covered by a huge garden. If it were a safer and only lawn and my back yard was not good enough I would.

We do but...we live on 10 acres in the middle of nowhere and our "front" yard doesn't face the street.

I wouldn't. We live in a neighborhood so it's not appropriate to keep anything in the front of the house.

Nope, don't want to get sued if someone drowns in our "attractive nuisance".

Re: Wading pool in the front yard

Front yard here, pulled out and filled to be used and emptied when we are done, but usually we just walk down the street to the beach and cool off there. Our backyard is basically a giant weed/wildflower patch and is pretty much useless except for fires. (HUGE firepit with log seats like an old school campsite.) We have a ton of huge old Oak trees and cannot get grass to grow there no matter what we try.
