Toddler Chewing Paint Off Crib

This is my third child, but my first biter. My son is almost 1. We put him to bed sleepy, but awake for naps and nighttime. Lots of times he stands up and starts scraping paint off the top rail of his crib with his teeth. Any suggestions for this?

ITs pretty common, they have all kinds of protector things on amazon, my mom just bought some fleece and cut it so she could tie it around the top crib bar and under the slots.

Re: Toddler Chewing Paint Off Crib

I used to wrap those cheap gerber prefolds around our rail and zip tie them in place because our rails were too wide for the protector things I had boght for it. When they got grubby, I just cut the zip ties and washed them and replaced. Easy peasy...

If you sew you could make a rail-cover to match your nursery and fit snugly on the crib.

Wonderful ideas ladies! I hate that my beautiful crib looks so awful now, but it will see many more babies at my house, hopefully , so I'm not too worried. I think this will be my next sewing project.
