I have bought CB seconds for years and the worst I ever got was a cracked snap or some off stitching I had to search for. Today I got the worst seconds ever. But I'm not sure if they are "unusable". Well my Moonbeam was fine. My Twilight is dirty which is fine, acceptable as a second. My Noodle has 2 holes in it. But do they make it unusable? Am I being bratty? TIA for any input. I don't want to bother CB if this is acceptable seconds.

And the dirty one. I hope the marks wash out.

The dirt will probably wash out. The holes are not a big issue. They havent been a big issue for us. I also got holes in noodle and have had no problems.

Re: Cotton Babies Seconds

I would personally find holes unacceptable. They are easy to snag and make much bigger, which would be a huge deal for me. And any small hole in PUL will allow leaking from my personal experience.

Re: Cotton Babies Seconds

It wouldn't bother me too much since they aren't very big. But I do recall I believe 2 seconds sales ago that people got diapers with large holes through the PUL. CB stated it was an error that they were sent out and refunded or replaced for people.

Doesn't hurt to email and see what they say

For what it's worth, I have used covers with holes and it didn't affect function. Is it in their seconds description that you could get them with holes?

Thanks Mamas. I think I will email CB later & see what they say. If I don't have to worry about leaking or the holes getting larger, I won't worry. I'm just kinda sad it is the Noodle dipe. I'm a big noodle lover.

I'm not sure. I think seconds are supposed to be fully functional. I always thought holes in PUL were a big no-no.

Is it right through the pul? I have a couple of covers with snags like that that haven't gotten bigger and work fine, but they're not all the way through, just the outer fabric.

Re: Cotton Babies Seconds

On the noodle one--is the nylon reinforcement intact?

I got a moonbeam snap that has a hole in the middle of the butt. I've had such good luck with seconds over the years that I wasn't sure if I should just be thankful that was the worst I've gotten.
