Oops! Used Bac-out bathroom cleaner on diapers!

I bought some Bac Out and accidentally bought the bathroom cleaner instead of the stain/odor remover. I sprayed some on my diapers! Is that a really bad thing?

And is it going to be bad if I wash that/those diapers (can't remember how many I sprayed) in my normal diaper wash? Ugh!!

I'd probably go ahead and wash them by themselves, but I imagine it will be OK? What's in the bathroom cleaner?

I wish I remembered exactly which diapers I sprayed. :-(

I looked at the ingredient lists and they look exactly the same, except the stain/odor remover has an additional ingredient of "Laureth 7 (Plant Based Surfactant)"

It will be fine. Just rinse them well. :-)

I wonder if the Laureth 7 is related to Sodium Laureth Sulfate? That is a detergent (it makes things foamy, including toothpaste, shampoo, etc.). Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it!

I'd wash them with my regular dipes. If it's the same ingredients, I doubt it would be harmful. Bac-Out replied promptly to an email i sent them a while ago. Perhaps you could ask them directly.

It shouldn't damage your diapers. The reason detergents with surfactants are not recommended is because they coat a diaper after repeated uses which causes the diaper to repel. It can also irritate your baby's skin. Do your normal wash routine and an extra rinse on the end. You should be fine. IF you are super worried do two rinses.

That's interesting about the surfactants. The stain/odor remover is the one with the surfactant. I've been using it on my diapers every time because they're getting pretty stinky fast now that it's summer and so warm. Does that mean I shouldn't use the Bac Out on them regularly?
