Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
I've been using wool mostly and phasing out a lot of PUL lately. I am not very experienced with wool, though, and need a little advice. Right now my DD just walks around in shorties or a wool wrap, since it's summer (or under a playdress) - but for winter when she'll be wearing pants, I need some trim wool options (or fleece). I don't think I'll be using longies.
We have a Loveybums crepe wrap and I LOVE it. How do these compare to something like Underwoolies? Will they hold up under pants or get wet through? How long do they hold up between diaper changes? Are there other trim wool/fleece options for under pants or would you go for another Loveybums? Thanks! Advertisement

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
I think the trimmest wool is the Imse Vimse Bumpy wrap. The fabric is THIN, but it's very bulletproof. I love it. But, maybe I'm weird, I don't like the wool/spandex that is super duper stretchy. No stretch at all, except at the legs/waist, in the IV Bumpy wrap. It's great for trifolding, no stretch to allow sagging or shifting.
For fleece...I'm not really sure what is the trimmest. It's challenging to find super trim fleece that is still going to be effective. I sew EmotiBums, and I've tried to make the soakers higher cut and a bit narrower in the crotch so they don't have any extra bulk, but they are fleece so not thin like the IV wraps. You might like a fleece Ai2 type of wrap. I know that you can get them from Bugga Bugga Boutique or Little Boppers. I offer a wrap for trifolding, but it doesn't come with any Ai2 type of inserts...it's just a fleece wrap for anyone who wants something trim fleece to trifold. Maybe try Loveybums fleece? If you like the crepe wrap, the fit is probably similar.

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
Have you checked out Bumby interlock? The silky is really trim and has an extra fuzzy layer in the wetzone. I used mine at night with no issues of leaking. I haven't used Underwoolies but other people on her chat board said the silky is trimmer. You can also get custom measurements, that and her excellent customer service are why I use Bumby.
Here is her facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bumbybaby?fref=ts and her website: http://gator1280.hostgator.com/~bumby/index.php/ I'm not sure on fleece. I used Winkydinks fleece covers for my kids but I don't think she is making them anymore.

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
I'm not familiar with Bumby, but I've tried Underwoolies and didn't like them. I found that the waistband was very tight even though the rest of the cover fit fine. I kind of gave up trying to find a trim soaker and just went straight for wool longies. I love not having to put on a diaper, put on a cover, and then try to stuff it all into a pair of regular pants!

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
I'd try a LoveyBums pull on cover!

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
Have you tried one of these? I read somewhere that they are trim and fit great under pants.

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
The Loveybums pull-up covers fit under pants for us. I also want to try the Engel wool nappy pants. I have heard they are a great trim option, but I have not tried them myself.

Re: Trim daytime wool/fleece suggestions
Awesome, thanks! I love my Loveybums crepe wrap so much and I'll probably get another, but I was very interested in the pull-up cover, too.. as long as it's also trim.
