Re: Basically it's a Very Wet Wednesday

My kids could all use a pedi. Me too. Maybe I will do that while they swim. I need to go to town today, turn in my contract at school and find a present for the bday girl for the party Bella is going to tomorrow. 6th grade girl... Bueller.... Bueller.... Bueller? Please recall that my options are very limited. And I really do not like this girl. Neighbor girl, super obnoxious, try to discourage interaction at all costs. I decided that since this trip involved other kids, is supervised and at a city pool it *might* be better than when she goes over to her house to hang out.

Cafepress had a sale on all mugs. BOGO....I wasn't going to get one but I saw the binary mug on the same day as Heiner spent ages messing about on his computer turning a sketch of the hamster habitat into a 3D image. I just thought it was too much fun.

He loves it.

I got the knitting one because it made me grin hugely

Hmmm, 6th grade girl? How about a gift card to somewhere. Bookstore? Local accessory shop? WM? If you want to buy a gift, I saw a cool idea on Pinterest recently where they made a little gift set by tying a big ribbon around a beach towel, with a few magazines and a bottle of nail polish. Might be a cheap and easy idea.

Broke out the carpet spot cleaner and worked on the spot on the carpet where E always snacks. I think it looks significantly better! Now, time for lunch.

My kids all need a mani pedi too.

I need to fix a nail I broke yesterday (shattered the gel on my right index finger) so I'll probably do mine and Derry's nails tomorrow.

The rest I can do over the weekend...it'll be too hot to go anywhere anyway.

A gift card to an accessory shop is an awesome gift when you're that age.

Good work Mel.

I'm so glad we were able to get rid of the carpets here. It's a PITA that Fynn can damage it so easily though.

Sifg. No local accessory shop. Now Bella doesn't want to go. But I told her that I refuse to lie. So she is coming up with an excuse for not going.

I guess that her not going would fix the problem! If she does go, here is the link to the gift I was thinking of. You could do it with teen magazines instead of O.
