DD1 is 4. Her bedtime is officially 8:30; I'm happy if I'm leaving her room before 9 p.m. She wakes whenever during the summer but preschool starts back tomorrow so I'll be waking her at 7:30 if she's not up. She naps maybe three days out of five.

DD2 is 1. She has no set schedule; I try to put her down as soon as I'm done with DD1 but sometimes she pops back up repeatedly like a jack-in-the-box! DD1 always wakes her in the morning, whatever time that may be. She takes at least one nap a day and usually two.

Re: What time do your kids go to bed and what time do they wake up?

My kids are 10.5, 8.5, 5.5 and 19 months. My older three go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 6:30am daily. The baby goes to bed between 9-10pm and wakes up about 8-9am.

The 3 and 4 year old are in bed by 830. They wake up around 730am and still have an afternoon nap daily.

Re: What time do your kids go to bed and what time do they wake up?

3yr - bed @ 7-7:30pm, wakes @ 7-8am
20mos - bed @ 7-7:30pm, wakes @ 7-8am, also has 1-2hr nap in day

if my kids aren't tired at bedtime, they can look at books/talk or sing to themselves in bed. Hubby & I enjoy the evening time to get stuff done & hang out together.

My oldest is nearly 6 and her bedtime is 8pm, although when school isn't in, I'm a bit more lax about it. She gets up around 8am. The youngest is 16 mos and I start putting her to bed right after I tuck her sister in - she's usually ready for bed, but has to be sung down her in room. She also wakes up about 8am and takes an afternoon nap around 12:30-1pm.

DS is 6.5, and goes to bed (lights out) at 8pm. This means starting our bedtime routine of shower/brush teeth/read aloud at about 7:20. He is up at 6:15 during the school year, and on the bus at 7:25 for an 8am start time.

Both kids go to bed by 8 and get up around 7.

DS has to be out the door with DH by 8 for school.
DD usually still takes a small nap after preschool. If she skips her nap, she is ready for bed earlier.

DS1 is 3.5 and we start bedtime routine at 7:30 with the goal of him being alone in his bed at 8. He gets up for the day at 5:30 right now. This whole thing may be hugely adjusted in 2 weeks when he will not be napping as well at daycare. He has been known to fall asleep on the way home from daycare at 4:30 and be out until the next morning.

DS2 is 2 months and has no schedule. Tomorrow we start working on a consistent wake time of 5 am and working more diligently on napping in his own space.

I go back to work in 2 weeks and the boys are in for a rough adjustment as neither are great sleepers unless they are being held/cuddled.
