5+ years nursing, not stopping. Nursing bra recommendations?

Hey Mamas,

It's time for me to get some real bras for extended breastfeeding. We're planning to have more, and I'm tired of my primary bras being low-impact sports bras. I want to wear a real bra again! I have all the standard brands and they just aren't great. Medela- blah. Bravado - good, but BULKY. LLL - so-so. Help! What are your favorite REAL nursing bras that I can utilize for my next 5-10 years of nursing!

I bought several with my son, but my favorite was from Nordstrom's called anita. They have a website to find a store.

I am a 34G a lot of the time while nursing, and I really like Elomi. Anita is also great for when I'm a little smaller. I get mine from breakoutbras.com.

I have been nursing for almost 16 years minus 5 months and I just wear a normal bra. I never found a great nursing bra that could compete.

I just pull it up and nurse

Well, I haven't been nursing quit as long but I have reached the same opinion. I use maidenform ones that are not lined or padded, but are made of material that won't allow your nipples to show and doesn't get a crease line, I pull it down instead of up.

Cake! I love their bras, I buy them online, I nursed DS to 3.5 and found them at 1.5 years and they really held up. Best part they are cute and sexy! They also come in more colors besides, nude, beige, off white, barely white, and if you are daring white I really was glad I found them.

I searched and searched for a good nursing bra with no luck...I finally had a regular bra converted to a nursing bra. Best. Decision. Ever. Pampered Mama does great work!

Re: 5+ years nursing, not stopping. Nursing bra recommendations?

I've tried the Target brand, You! Lingerie, Hotmilk, and Anita. My You! Lingerie bras are the wrong size (I bought them when I was pregnant--to use during pregnancy--but they were comfortable at the time. The Target brand ones easily stretch out. I love the Hotmilk, though they come up rather high, I can't wear low-cut stuff with them, at least the style I have. The Anita one is the only one I have with underwire and I like it a lot. It's also a bit more low cut.

Hmm. I have been doing this with low-impact sports bras, and I can see your point. Clearly there is no underwire here and no stiff padding, right? I do need some serious nipple guard/shielding. I am always nipping. Is there a particular brand that you like?

I love my Anita bras. I've worn them for over two years and they are doing great. Ones too big now (lo is almost a year and my breasts have gone back to normal size).
