I nursed dd1 until she was three. That was through one 13 week miscarriage and all the way through a 37 week pregnancy and then until I was 20 weeks with my daughter who was stillborn. At that point I weaned both girls. (3&18 months) ds nursed until I was 12 weeks with dd3, but I had hg and stopped producing milk. (Btw tandem nursing two had nothing to do with my stillborn dd)

Re: have you nursed while preg

I had two early m/cs while nursing. I also had two healthy pregnancies while nursing. My OB said that the m/cs were absolutely not caused by nursing. B/c I have a history of pre-term labor and nursing can make the uterus contract my OB likes me to stop by 30 weeks (but I've never made it past 20 weeks because both my kids weaned at around 20 weeks when my milk dries up).

Ok I wasn't sure which to vote for and I had posted yesterday in the the other thread as there where 2 of these cause I didn't see this thread with the pole. Lol!
The baby I lost its heart was not developed right, so it was beating they think at 1 time during the pregnancy. But it stopped beating when the baby grew bigger it couldn't handle the strain. It appeared to have 2 of the 4 valves damaged so it just didn't have the right genetic info to survive

Other. I nursed for the first 3 or so months of my second pregnancy (until my milk dried up and my son lost interest). I lost my daughter to sillbirth but that had nothing to do with nursing/not nursing.

I nursed during 2 pregnancies, both resulted in miscarriages at 7 and 12 weeks. The cause of the first m/c was unknown but the second caused was a chromosomal error and the baby stopped growing at 9.5 weeks. So wasn't caused by breastfeeding. However after the 2 losses I chose to wean my 2.5 year old before trying to conceive again, only to give me peace of mind that my body/hormones/emotions were more stable. Had I not had the miscarriages I would not hesitate to nurse during pregnancy.

All of my losses were when I was not nursing.

Same here. I was ready to wean though (we'd been going for two years already). So I nursed until he hit two then he weaned. At that point I was 11 weeks pregnant.

I have nursed while pregnant 2 times and had 2 healthy babies. One of those pregnancies I nursed all the way through and then tandemed after.
My only miscarriage was after DS2 weaned before I got pregnant.

Yep though weaning sounds nice. 17.5 weeks with an 18 month old right now. She is recently night weaned.
