Do you nurse from both sides at each feeding?

So I can't really remember how I used to do things its been so long since I BF'd my youngest (she is 5 1/2). So does your baby only eat from one side at each feeding or both?

Usually only one side at a time. I produce so much milk that I'm afraid she isn't going to get enough hind milk if I switch sides during feeding. She's only 2 weeks though. With DS I would empty one breast and switch. Next feeding I would start on the side he last nursed on.

I do one side at each feed unless he seems more hungry.

I usually offered both- the first side was dinner (longer feed usually) and the second for dessert (top off, shorter feed, sometimes he wasn't interested).

Both, start on A and empty. Then move to B. Next feeding...start on B and repeat.

Yes, he nurses on the 1st side until he is done, then I burp him, and then I offer the second side. My son will nurse for equal amounts of time on each side (I am not going by timing in how to feed him, that's just how it ends up). I have friends though that only nurse on 1 side b/c that is all their LO needs/wants. At the next feeding I offer side 2 1st.

Often times my under 12 month nurses only ate on one side. I often pumped the other side to build a stash or donate. My 18 month old eats from both sides.

My ds is a month old today and he usually eats just one side each feeding. Sometimes he will want more but not too often.

This. My 7 week old usually only halfway emties the second side right now, so we always start with that one the next time.

That's how I did for all but my 3rd. He was very picky and always started on left and ended on right. I felt very lopsided lol.
