Imagine bamboo for the absorbancy, but they have shrunk so much and are a bit small for folding and snappi-ing. Liked my diaper rite largest great but dying to try GMD larges!

Re: Best FLATS....?

I have GMD unbleached larges and both bleached/unbleached smalls. I also have or have used recieving blankets, FST, homemade birdseye flats and homemade flannel flats and homemade cotton-knit flats (like soft tshirt fabric).

My faves are GMD, followed by homemade birdseye then flannel flats. I will mention, for the price, you may aswell just buy GMD flats because it cost nearly the same as making your own but the GMD fabric is thicker and wears better. Flannel stays pretty soft but its less floppy and doesnt pin as easily as birdseye.

I havent tried diaper rite because after factoring in the shipping price I decided to just go with GMD.

I've gotta say, for padfolding, flannel receiving blankets are now officially my favorite. Since I mostly line dry, the Birdseye flats I have dry all wonky where the clothespin is, and flannel is soft even if I don't throw in the dryer for the extra fluff after line drying. Bonus points because I got them from the thrift store for pennies!!

GMD smalls! They are really quite large, and fit from birth to PT'ing!
