He's roughly 13 pounds at 10 weeks and can still wear both with the rise totally undone. I just put away the rumparooz because the rise is too short. The duo wraps he wears with the rise totally undone and is snapped at the second to last waist snap on each side. I can try to get more photos if you'd like but I'm not sure how much it would help at his current size.

Both were worn over Diaper Rite newborn prefolds.

Those are great! Thank you. Did you prefer one over the other?

I'm due around Christmas, and am so excited to see your newborn review/pics thread.

I had both and liked both, so I agree that you should get a few of both! I only had aplix for both kinds and never had a problem with it rubbing.

The RAR just fit funny and seemed uncomfortable on my NB. Wish I hadn't bought them.

I liked the fit of NB prowraps much better. DD was 8lbs and they lasted a month on her

I wish the same! Te elastic on the RAR is thick where the gusset ends. Very funky fit. If you ask me.....buy nikky cotton poly, atleast the NB size until thirsties fit better. The nikky is pricy but my love for them has totally convinced my to buy more sizes. So soft....OMG.......so soft!!!!!!! Mazie was born at 9.9lbs, so it fits her snug. I don't regret spending the money for the 2 weeks she wore it. It would fit alot longer for a normal sized newborn

Another vote for the NB prowraps: Dd was about 9 lbs and 10 days old here. the prowraps also lasted us about a month, maybe longer.

Thirsties duo size 1: She is about 3 weeks old here and they just started to fit where they wouldn't rub on her cord:

Did the RaR aplix irritate his belly?
The aplix did start to rub sometimes when he reached about 10 pounds and his belly got really round! I could sort of fold the top of the cover above the aplix to fold out but his belly is too big now.

Here are some photos from just now. 2.5 months old today! And 14ish pounds.

Re: Rumparooz newborn cover or Thirsties Duo 1?

I totally prefer RAr they lasted much longer when my baby finally outgrew his rumparooz and thirsties duo size 1s the thirsties looked more dingy and the rarz look brand new - they are much better quality and I loved the fit! never had a leak! I didn't ever have a leak in the thirsties either but didn't love them like i do the rumparooz!

I did however LOVE the prowraps! they are ugly but man they fit awesome and are good quality and cheap!
