Who is happy with their kids just being.....

Let's have a shout out from parents that just enjoy and are happy with their kids just being who they are!

Kids just being those sweet, troublemaking beings that they are, not worrying about how they are comparing to others or making "brilliant" strides at early ages.

Let's hear it for everyday occurrences where we love our little ones for just being.

Those little moments that are not earth shattering or memory book worthy, but just make us stop for a second to smile.

Let's appreciate the worth of our children at every little moment in time.

I'll start.

I love my DS1 for realizing his pants were on backwards (in front of a bunch other kids) and laughing about it and not really caring.

I have been having a lot of those moments lately. DS is in the mimicking age and so cute! SO has been building a chicken coop and he loves taking the spare hammer and "helping" . He has long drawn out conversations on his toy phone and spent like 15 minutes running back and forth in the kitchen yesterday yelling go go go!

I love when my 7yr old says something cost too much dollars instead of too much money. It's cute and I won't correct him(plus he knows how to say it right).

I love the innocent way my 4 year old asks me questions about EVERYTHING even when it frustrates me.

I love the way my 2 year old makes up songs and sings lyrics wrong. Frere Jacque goes like this on our house: Fair we shocka fair ee shocka, door me FOOD!

I love the way my 7 month old has a happy growl when she's playing.

I love the way my ds has made zombie sounds since he was like 7 mos old. Now if you ask him what the sheep says, he says Baaaaa! but in a zombie voice with a growl. Hilarious!
He also occasionally says mama! in the same voice, like that movie Mama with the creepy little girls... Its freaky when he does that in the dark!

I love that my kids are themselves!!

My dd likes to pick out her own clothes everyday and she makes up some CRAZY concoctions, of course only wearing them with glitter covered pink ballet flats. She always shows me her creations by saying Look Mommy! I did it and I so beautiful!

Ds3 collects and wears funky socks and shoes. He won't wear white socks ever. He wears brightest, loudest socks and has preferred them since he was a year old. And... he wears them up to his knees.

Ds2 is a jokester. Everyday he gets in the car after school with a new joke for me he's made up. Today's....
D: I know the opposite of prefix.
Me: umm...what is it?
D: PreBREAK!

Ds1 is never ashamed to be tender and loving of his younger siblings. Even when his friends are calling him to run off, he will stay and take dd for a walk, take her potty if my hands are full, or help a brother with homework without ever being asked.

That was fun. Good thread!!

My two older girls were misbehaving in the store today and I just smiled and let them. Why? Because they were holding hands doing it and they so rarely hold hands anymore.

Re: Who is happy with their kids just being.....

my son just started walking recently and i adore watching him waddle down the hallway, just because he can do it. He also gets really excited when he walks to me and puts his hands out and giggles as he falls into my lap, melts me every time.
