How are your bamboo prefolds holding up?

and what brand/size do you have?

Did they shrink up more than they were supposed to?

Any other comments?

I'm considering selling off my AIO's and switching to trifolded prefolds in Grovia covers, but need to decide between bamboo or organic cotton (Diaper Rites). I've had both in the past, I think the bamboo was more absorbent but some of the Grovia prefolds I had shrunk up terribly small and were super rough (but some were fine).

I have M DR bamboo, and they shrunk up a lot. It happened more slowly than with cotton, but they are roughly 14" long now after a few months, which is much smaller than the washed dimensions on their site. My GMD reds purchased around the same time are at least 1-2" longer. I think they work perfectly trifolded on a M setting, but are much too short for fastening now--looking at getting L's for my 5mo old. Crazy.

But they are still very soft. Nice and quilty. Easy to fasten when they fit (more grippy than the cotton). Slightly more absorbent.

How long did you have the grovia prefolds? I had mine about 4 months or so and they were still super soft, I sold them and I'm really regretting it! I'm actually looking for some but they aren't ever on FSOT

I am in the process of doing the exact same thing! Grovia covers and bamboo prefolds. I have the Diaper Rite ones and the Grovia ones. I prefer my Grovia ones. I saw they posted this

on their blog. Helped me when I was deciding what size.

I've had the Grovia prefolds since right when they came out and they are still really soft. I don't line-dry them, though. I'm really pleased by how well they hold up - I'm considering buying a few dozen more in smaller sizes for the new baby, for stuffing pockets and trifolding. We don't really snappi here anymore.

Thanks TheCoach'sWife! I was getting ready to post asking that exact same thing, because I want to trifold but I think my lo is in between 2 and 3, but he could stand to use the grovias all the way unsnapped I guess. Let me know if anyone is selling 3s!

It was weird, some of them (Grovias) were fine (the size 2's that I sold) but I had 6 size 2's that are so wonky I didn't even try to sell them. They are 12W x 11.5 L.

The wonky ones are from their first production batch, the ones I sold were from the second batch.

I will tell you that for some unknown reason, size 3's are less expensive at MySweetPickles. And free shipping at $49. And she is super great.
