Re: im very close to telling PUL COVERS to go F themselves

I feel your pain. My problem is I like something for awhile, then not so much. I dont think there is a perfect cover. I started with sweet peas. Loved the gussets hated the snaps. Bought thirsties and immediately sent them back. They were stiff. Then I got some diaper rite covers. Really like those. Tried flips since they were highly talked about and hated those because the crotch was ridiculously wide and the material was thin so I sold those. Just started trying Grovia hook and loop and am loving them. They are so easy for anyone to put on. My second love are the sweet peas again. Im pathetic lol. Neither one of those covers leave red marks. I hope wing droop isnt too much of a problem or I will be on the hunt again.

I hate PUL covers too. Recently sold all of mine. I like knit longies/ shorties but have several upcycled soakers to use at night. So much more affordable and rounded out my stash well.
I have two Thirsties fitteds that I like well enough but I hated my thirsties covers so much. What a strange fit, and crunchy!

Re: im very close to telling PUL COVERS to go F themselves

I have noticed that the Thirsties start out stiff when they are new but soften up after use. I love my thirsties. I have some I have had for almost 5 years now and although they don't look pretty, they work great.

But, I totally relate. I used to feel the same way about covers. In fact, we are in an annoying stage where flips fully unsnapped are too big for my 21 month old, and yet Flips on the mid rise are too short. The only cover that really fits her properly right now are my thirsties on the middle rise. But, I have kind of gotten to the point where I don't care anymore. Been CDing for almost 5 years and this is my last baby. She is hopefully going to PL in less than a year and then no more diapers! So, I just deal with the weird droopy flips and the annoying snaps of certain covers.

If I had another one on the way though, Im sure i would be frustrated.

Re: im very close to telling PUL COVERS to go F themselves

My most fav are Nikky breathable poly covers for a really trim fit. I usually fold a prefold in thirds and just lay it in the cover. They really are breathable, I tried to breathe through one and I could actually do it.

My other fav is Imse Vimse for fitteds or snappi diapers because it's fuller cut, same kind of poly material as the Nikky's, just more roomy.

Neither are PUL. They are both velcro covers and I'm a hard core snap mama, but I still just love these.

Re: im very close to telling PUL COVERS to go F themselves

I am going through the same problem. I cannot keep up with wool because every time I my toddler poops he get the cover and I cannot wash 2 wool covers a day and I hate PUL. I just took the plunge and bought some fleece covers and I am in love. I never thought that I would say this!! I got 2 trifolding wraps from Emotibums and 2 AI2 fleece shells from Little Boppers. I love them both. I am so happy that I can just spray them down and throw them in the washer when they get poop on them. I will be buying more of them for my toddler and my little one due in 5 weeks.

Re: im very close to telling PUL COVERS to go F themselves

Thirsties Snaps are my backup with padfolding, but I love love LOVE Dappi nylon covers. They are my loves for pinning/snappi-ing. And the only ones DD won't complain about being "too tight," with no rise snaps to irritate.

And I, too, have tried every. single. cover.

Can't do wool over here without losing my mind.
