Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April & May)

Wow....where did everyone go?!! I'm doing okay. No bleeding, no contractions, nothing going on at all, which is good. I am still, almost three weeks later, waiting for the referral to go through to the specialist doctor who will be doing my c-section. I'm getting annoyed and stressed. I'd like to meet the doctor at least once and ask him/her my questions. And have a date set of when I'll be going in for the c-section. I've read that they'll do it around 37 weeks for placenta previa and I'm 32 weeks tomorrow. I feel like we're cutting it too close.

That would be annoying! Hope they get it scheduled soon!

Not much going on here. He's getting big and strong, I can feel that much. I've already hit my delivery weight with the last one. Little nervous about that, but the Dr wasn't too worried, but said watch it. DH agrees it doesn't look like it's went anywhere but belly, so that makes me feel a little better. Age is creeping up on me and it's going to be harder to control and loose...bummer!

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April & May)

I finally got an appointment, for the 21st. I'll be 33w5d. I assume they will schedule the c-section then. I'm just so nervous that something is going to happen before then. I need a distraction!!

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April & May)

Hee hee. I make most of my own diapers. I've made enough nb aio diapers, but thought about ordering some infant prefolds for back up and such. I have preemie size someone gave me and some infant, but I've never actually ordered brand new prefolds. I thought it would be fun!! Or I could sew up the last few small size aio's I haven't finished yet but have cut out and ready to sew. Or both!!

I haven't gotten the baby clothes out of the garage yet and washed them either. I don't have a dresser for him and wanted to buy some Dreft because I love how it smells. I just haven't gotten around to it because dh is being picky about a dresser. He wants to buy new and I don't care. I'll take a freebie and have my mom paint it!! It just has to be done in the next few weeks. That gives me lots of distractions though.

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April & May)

I agree with shopping for diapers as a distraction! It's working for me! I'm at 24 weeks tomorrow. Little boy is getting strong and kicking tons. I love feeling him daily to know he's there but I'd really love to be able to sleep with out getting the snot kicked out of me. Working on getting all my girly stuff sold since we found out it's a boy. I *may* have bought way to many girly woolies and clothes, opps! So working through getting those listed and sold. They are about half gone now. That's keeping me busy and distracted because I've had at least a package a day to send out for the last week. It's all summer stuff so I need to get it sold now or the window of when people are buying it will be gone. Other than that not a lot going on. I think I'm having an issue with my blood sugar but my DR doesn't seem concerned until my GD test at 28 weeks. So I guess until then just eat healthy and try to quit eating so many sweets that make me sick. Easier said then done since sweet is what I crave.

Re: Pregnancy After Loss (April & May)

The anniversary of my loss is coming up soon... 12 days from now. I'm a little achey over it but I'll be alright.

Does anyone else find themselves doing this with rainbow babies? I keep unintentionally thinking of my last pregnancy as "the first time I was pregnant with this baby." I keep thinking of them as the same baby, just at a different time. Is that at all normal or healthy?

Just wanted to say that I felt the same way. Even now that she is born I sometimes think of her as a 'he'. I find it totally normal.

I didn't link my loss to my pregnancy, but I had early losses and time between pregnancies!

Desi is gonna be 3 weeks tomorrow!
I asked DH if he was "really" done have kids. He looked at me and said, "do you want more?"
I said of course!
He said ok.....he wants to let Desi get bigger than we will ntnp after I'm done nursing.
I'm going to go on BC while nursing because I have SUPER low progesterone and have only gotten pregnant once while nursing and m/c because my progesterone was sooooo low (only 6)
I can't do that again! So BC it is until lil man weans!
I'm gonna do a birth center water birth next time!
after 5 hospital births, I'm ready for something more laid back!!!!
