I made some uh MAY zing garlic bread last night

DH and I were watching TV, and the characters on the show ere going to go to a restaurant that had a "bottomless basket of garlic bread." Right then, I had to pause the show and go make some bread.

I halfway melted a little butter until it was about the consistency of mayonnaise once I stirred it up, and I stirred in some garlic salt and some parsley. I didn't measure anything. I intended for my "bread" to be some leftover hot dog buns, but when I opened the bread cabinet, I instead found a package of cheddar bread that I forgot that I bought at my last grocery trip. Garlic cheddar bread! Even better! I sliced that bread up in about 1/4" slices, and it was light and airy and the cheese went through all the inside. I smeared on a thick-ish layer of the butter mixture and then lined them up on a pan. We just moved a month or so ago and it was my first time using the broiler, and it turns out that it has a high and a low setting. I chose "low" since I have a tendency to burn garlic bread. Then I turned on the light and watched. The butter finished melting and started bubbling and sizzling and looking really, really yummy. I turned off the oven and took it out 90 or so seconds later when I started smelling a "toasty" smell. The breads were PERFECTLY done. Not too burnt, not too raw. Wonderful salty/garlic flavor. I need to make some again today.
