I usually do fruziit and veggie trays. I also like fruit salad, deviled eggs, potato salad is another good one,.

frog eyed salad for most unless we have a certain thing like that we have to bring main dish or something.

cheesecake lately as we do a neighborhood potluck every month.

my sauce is semi-homemade i should say. put some oil in a pot, toss in some red pepper flakes and chopped onion. brown it. add some crushed fresh garlic. add in the lean ground meat. brown it, you can also add a bay leaf, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano at this point.
When meat is cooked, i toss in a can of spaghtti sauce...
then i cover and let simmer about 30 min. during that time i boil the spaghetti.
I mix the spaghetti and meat sauce. then layer with cheese. If im feeling crazy, ill add in some chopped spinach in the middle layer. top off entire thing with cheese, cover and bake at 375 for 25 min. uncover and broil few min to slightly brown the top.
