Question Stroller for 50 lbs?

Hi Mamas!

Just wondering if there are any strollers out there that support up to 50lbs? My son starts pre-school in September, but the school doesn't provide transportation. On days that it's nice outside, I would like to walk him there & pick him up (it's about 15 mins, but it's uphill! LOL)

Thanks

I would recommend a Bob Revolution. I think the weight limit is about 75#s, but more importantly it pushes really well with a heavy kid in it.

Eta. The Bob has a 70# capacity http://www.bobgear.com/strollers/revolution-se

Re: Stroller for 50 lbs?

Most (although not all) jogging stroller have a higher weight capacity, for a non-jogging stroller Maclaren brand tends to have higher weight capacities as well.

ETA: Forgot to mention bike trailer/stroller hydrids also tend to have higher weight capacities.

Re: Stroller for 50 lbs?

We were just gifted a First Years Jet. Fifty bucks and rated to 50 lbs. if its just a 15 minute daily walk, I would not bother investing in a Bob or the like. Especially if there's a good chance your kiddo will want to walk sometimes anyway.

Re: Stroller for 50 lbs?

I don't know what it's rated for, but I got a MacLaran off Craigslist for $35 and I sit in it if my feet start hurting (and I weigh 175lbs). I would definitely feel safe pushing a kid up to maybe 65lbs in it.

When I was in your situation I remember a lot of the jiggers were approved for height weights
