FST as flats.
I have a gift card to walmart and I never shop there because they typically don't ever have things that I want or need. Someone told me to get flour sack towels that they sell there for cheap and use as flat. Anyone do this before? What did you think? I have no experience with flats so I don't even know if I know what to do with them....

Re: FST as flats.
I use FST as flats. I just pad fold and lay them in either a pocket or a cover. I love the convenience and how easy they are to get clean.

Re: FST as flats.
Fst are awesome. I didn't like them at first but now they are softer than my high quality diaper flats. And because they are a little thinner they work better and are more pliable for newborns.

Re: FST as flats.
I'm not a fan of them. I love flats, but not these. I found them too thin to snappi on and too thin to stand alone. If I'm going to use two every change then they are no longer cheaper than quality flats.

Re: FST as flats.
I tried them and guess they would be ok for a newborn if you know how to fold them. But soft as they are, they arent absorbant enough on older babies and padfolding them didnt work for us because they bunch as soon as baby pees and then the diaper leaks. So now we just use our floursacks for cleaning up spills and messes around the house.
This said, we LOVE gerber receiving blankets padfolded in a os cover for the toddler stage. They are soft enough (100% cotton) but still sturdy enough to hold their shape in a cover even when wet and the fibers are more tightly woven so ds rarely peed though them. I like the size and trimness of my gerbers as well as the fact that they are serged all the way around so no lumps or bumps when folded. They are durable and launder great, which is huge when dealing with toddler stinky pee. And you can buy them right at WalMart! ![]() |

I use FST's pad folded in my toddlers nap and bedtime diaper. I just lay it pad folded on top of a hemp doubler inside a flip cover. Holds her all night.
Another option is selling the GC or using it in a trade for something else you can use. |

Re: FST as flats.
I'm using them on my 7 mos old now. They have gotten nice and soft, but they do bunch up weird. What like about them is that they are big enough that with an airplane fold I can bring the tabs all the way in front and just use one boingo.

Re: FST as flats.
Depending on the amount of your gift card you might consider simply buying a different gift card like for iTunes or a restaurant too
