I know you're not the only one that has a DH that says things that aren't the nicest...I think we all have that situation. It's so hard sometimes not to take out our frustration on those we love and at times the words can say what we're feeling in ways that hurt each other.

It's great to hear that you are understanding how he's feeling (stressed, anxious, frustrated) and are putting that into perspective so that you don't allow that comment to hurt you too deeply. I'm glad to hear that it sounds like he didn't mean to say something hurtful- because I know of jerk men that do and women who are badly in need of emotional healing.

I think the most important part is giving yourself permission to say, I'm not going to accept that comment. Although you can't stop someone from saying something, we have the power to accept it or reject it in our hearts.

I am another one who thinks he should consider himself lucky that he's getting, well, lucky!! I was in so much pain during my last month this time that sex was lower on the agenda than a visit to the dentist.

Thank goodness things get better after the baby is born (though not right after!!)

He's so lucky he's gettin' any at all! My poor DH-The last time we had sex is when I got pregnant-and I'm 29 weeks!!!!! Same thing when I was preg w/ ds. I can't imagine havin sex w/ this big ol' belly!!!!! We co-sleep too-and I don't think we'll fit on the couch anymore!

we did have some pretty great sex toward the end, but it WAS funny a lot too. my problem was that i think i didn't really "get' how big my belly was and that it really was getting in the way. we'd try a position and dh kept having to be like - "sorry honey - it's just not going to work" (he just couldn't contort himself enough to get in close enough....and i'm like "why not?"
