DJ called the whole act of nursing, milk, and breasts "booby" although most of the time it came out "booboo" or "beeboo" and only we knew what he was talking about.

Re: what do your dc

We *think* that ds is starting to call nursing "NaNa". He says "NumNumNum" when he eats solids (the entire time he is chewing, it's quite cute), and when nursing, every time he comes off he says "NaNaNaNa" with great satasfaction.
We call it nursies usually (and boobies the rest of the time).

awe those are cute names for them... right now the baby (3mos) is too young to talk obviously but our two year old has started coming up to me when im nursing, pulls ony my sports bra & says "mommy bebe" and makes a sucky face, im not sure if that what hes called them or if hes just labeling them as what they are (for the baby) i guess we have to come up with something to call them that wont be too embarassing out in public.

So far Torrin is the only one who nursed long enough to name it. For him it was Nonny at first, then Na-na.

Re: what do your dc

I had forgotten about seeing this on kellymom a while back...some of them are really cute. http://www.kellymom.com/bf/bfextende...ing-words.html

One of my cousins freaked out about us saying "boobies" when DJ was around a year old. I asked her what her son (the same age) called it and she said she was always very careful to not "call" it anything so that he wouldn't have a word for it! Anyway, I figure whatever they want to call it, I'd rather them have a word and ask for what they want than to just climb up in my lap and try to rip my shirt off! DJ would sometimes climb up in my lap and pat on my chest or nuzzle/root if I wasn't getting the message, but he always "asked" first...does that make sense?

My 16 month old doesn't talk. He signs milk for nursing. I call it nursing/breastfeeding.
