Re: what do your dc

My 19mo DD calls them "hungy". I always ask if she is hungry when referring to breastfeeding, and say "eat" when referring to food. So now she just says "hungy" when she wants to bf.
Sometimes, if she is in the bathroom while I am taking a bath, she will point to my nipple and say "hungy right there?"... so cute!

I will probably try to come up with a different name for the next child though, because it can get confusing when other people ask her if she is hungry. I even do it sometimes, when I mean hungry for food.

Nathan CALLS it "nah-nah", or just "mum-mum-mum-mum" as he's running towards me!

I ask him if he wants to nurse - he says "YES-EEE" ---- translation: Yes, please! as he's running full-tilt at me chest!

The boys do it to him all the time. They'll ask him if he wants to nurse, and he'll come tearing after me!

We don't have a name and I don't know why. I always ask her if she wants mama milk (to distinguish from regular milk) and then she gets excited. DH refers to them as boobies or nipples. My DD is 14 mos and always just points or climbs in my lap and starts to nuzzle when I ask her what she would like. I've been trying to teach her the sign for milk, but she still won't do it.

Zander calls it milk...but it sounds like mack... my nephew coined all the breast milk around here na-na, so sometimes I still call it that... For a while I got into this silly habit of saying, "Do you want a boobie?" but one day when zander sounded like he was saying boobie, I thought I better go back to calling it milk!! A friend's daughter used to ask for mommy milk... I like the name mommy milk...

Re: what do your dc

Dh always says Boob, it can be a verb or a noun. "She needs boobed" or "Are you boobing?".

Dd1 never called it anything, but she also weaned before she talked much. Ds called it "Na-Nas".

Dd2 is only 7 weeks old, so she just bangs my chest with her face (we call it pecking and say thank God she doesn't have a beak ) or beats my chest with her little fists while burrowing into my cleavage.
