I have been told 12months for honey or pb, but my son had pb at 11months for the first time (he got ahold of something with pb in and ate it through the wrapper,lol) but I wasnt worreid as we have no known allergies on it, he is 14months and we dont eat honey so he still hasnt had it. My ped in GA said its ok to give pb for protien past 9moinths IF there is NO known allergies for peanuts in your family....

12 mos for honey no matter what. Pb I've heard 2 yrs but never waited that long myself. My dh gave DS1 a reeses cup when he was 10 mo old, so I knew he was fine. DD had pb at 1 and DS2 had pb somewhere around 18 mos. As far as choking in pb goes , you shouldn't give it on a spoon and if you spread it on something just a thin layer should be fine.
