We did it with both. The only thing it would change is how we prepared for the baby. If we knew we would have a child with special needs, I thought it would be good to know about it so I could do my research in advance and find the special programs we would need. They both came back negative though. We would always love any child that God brought into our lives.

Nope I chose not to! It's not anything you can change, so I figured it would be best not to worry myself if I the test came back positive. I've heard there are A LOT of false positives with the test!

No I'm declining most of the test's I won't have any additional u/s declining 24/28 week blood work still not sure on the GBS test

With all 4 of my pregnancies, I have not. I dont want the stress of a false positive and it wouldnt change anything for us.

Did you get a false positive? I had a positive, but it was a true positive. No false positive yet, and I've taken the test 5x's.
Were you satisfied with the results? Yes
Would you do it again? Everytime

The rate of false pos is just way too high for me to do it- plus I would refuse the amnio if the results were pos anyway...so there's no point.

I had a false positive with my first ds -went through hell for months worrying that he'd be born with anecephaly which as the genetic counselor stated "is not compatible with life" and he was born fine-never had another one
