I know for me it's hard to tell which forum a particular topic should be posted in sometimes. The other day I had a question about a backup carseat. Personally, I wouldn't think that would belong in the Parenting section, but that's where it got moved. I knew my question didn't have to do with Diapers, Pregnancy, Elimination Communication, etc, and I honestly didn't think it had to do with Parenting either. I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think people usually post in the wrong forum on purpose. In fact, I thought about it before I posted and I was convinced I was posting in the correct forum.

I know people don't do it on purpose. I DO think that most people don't really think about where it should go first, though.

Really, we just want members to put themselves in others' shoes. Some people avoid the pregnancy, parenting and due date boards for a reason. We don't want them avoiding Off Topic too, kwim?

Oh, I completely agree. It would be a shame for members to feel like they couldn't go into any forum because of certain circumstances in their lives.

I just know that for me I am sometimes clueless on where the topic should go. When in doubt it makes most sense to me to put it in the "Off Topic" section.
