hard time logging on & staying logged on

i think the subject says it all. i am having a tough time logging on. it usually takes me a couple of tries on the home page or if i go to a different part of the site then i can logon. i would love to be always logged on, like on the old site, but it's not working for me. do i need to do something special?

Have you tried clearing your browsers history, cache, and cookies? That may help....logging in/out is usually a cookie thing.

i haven't... i'll try that when i get home. it happens at my school's computer too but who knows what's on there!
