How do you store/organize your cloth?

With soon-to-be two under two and both in cloth diapers, I am in dire need of an efficient storage/changing station. I use the changing table on the Pack N Play next to my bed (since we co-sleep it is nice to have everything right there).

I do have a changing dresser in DD's room but I've never liked standing sideways to change the baby - I like being at the end of the station. I am thinking I may move that in my room, too, just to stack some type of storage trays.

So, what do you use? Baskets? Plastic tubs? Pictures would be good. I'm horrible at organizing.

I wouldn't call it organized but all mine go in a pop up hamper that sits by my glider rocker. It has pockets that I put my wool in on the sides.

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

I bought a 4 drawer chest. I put it at the end of DD's crib in our room. I use the top for a changing table ( there is room to stand at the end, that is how I like to do it too ) I store accessories in the top drawer and dipes and such in the other 3. Works pretty well.

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

I use a 3 drawer cart I bought from wal mart. I can't take a pic right now (she's snoozing), but it is like the pp's link, except it is clear drawers. I use the dresser with a changing pad, butI tend to change wherever it is convenient. (floor/bed/couch)

For ds, we use the shelf section on his toy chest and we keep his night dipes on the top in a basket. (His are easier, since he only uses pockets)

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

I'm lazy. I have two midsize laundry baskets--- one holds DS's pockets, toddler sizedprefolds and covers, one holds DD's pockets and covers, the third has all of the inserts, doublers, basic prefolds and snappis.

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

i use a clear storage bin (covers, wool, rash oniment, fleece liners, and snappis) inside a big laundry basket which holds his pf's, and fitteds.

we usually change him on our bed, couch or floor. i had a changing table with my 7yo and i hated it!!

BTW that diaper sling looks really cool!!!

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

We have a 4 shelf unit in our living room that holds stereo componets and movies on the top 2 shelves. My old computer books on the bottom shelf for weight. The 2nd shelf from the floor is my diaper shelf.

I have pockets, prefolds, fitteds, covers and wipes all stacked so neatly for like 5 minutes. Then Hurricane Hannah comes thru and they're all on the floor. I change her on the floor next to the shelf. Im needing a new storage solution as well.

Re: How do you store/organize your cloth?

Top basket = covers (I use the microfiber towels next to them as prefolds)

Left basket = wipes (water in bottle on top shelf)

Right basket = "hubby's" dipes

Middle = stuffed pockets - this pic was taken during laundry, so there's usually 2-3 days worth crammed in there . . . my pockets always fill the space, whether there's 3 or 12 in there.

In the winter I use fitteds and wool, but they're in the closet during summer.

If it won't fit in my station, I have to sell something. That's the ONLY way I can control myself! (But I HAVE seen those hanging-shoe-boxes that would fit really well into ds's closet, once we get the futon mattress out of there . . . . )
