i JUST (as in a week & 1/2 ago) moved to Winter Park (Orlando)...from Virginia.

cool! ...you wouldn't by any chance be a crazy health-food nut & know of some whole-foods co-ops??

i'm just having massive sticker shop shopping at grocery stores for natural foods...in richmond i got most of our groceries in bulk from co-ops & directly from farms....

Well, I would happen to eat like that if I could afford to! Are you shopping at the Winter Park Whole Foods? It's crazy expensive. We used to shop there for a while, then at Fresh Market in Longwood, and now we just buy from our normal grocery store. You know, I called a co-op about a year ago about their pricing and info. I can't, for the life of me, remember the name and I know I don't have a number. From what I remember, there weren't any people doing a co-op with this group in our area and there were availabilities for someone to start a co-op in our area. It took about a month for me to receive a call back and by that time, I'd moved on to some other obsession

If I happen to figure out who it was, I'll let you know, but please don't hold your breath for me, I don't even remember how I found out about the co-op.

If you happen to find one, please do tell, and I'll do the same.

ETA: You might think about posting about it on the Healthy Living (or something like that) forum---there are probably more moms "in the know" there.

I had called some place about a co-op before. It took them weeks to call back. I never joined up but I cant remember where I got the number from.

Hi!

I live in Oviedo/Winter Springs (by the Ovido Mall). I've lived here since...2003....but I use to live in Winter Park area (not the posh Winter Park...by Goldenrod!).

I work in Sanford.....so not far from Lake Mary.

I don't eat whole foods--can't afford it...BUT...I do that Winter Park has the "Farmer's Market" on Saturdays. They have local growers. Haven't been in a few years, but have always liked going! It's right off of Park Avenue....if you want specifics, PM me and I'll ask my husband...he's better with directions!

Glad to meet ya! My oldest is 8 (didn't cd him, and my youngest is 12 months, he'll be 13 months next week..YIKES!...I LOVE cd him!!!)
