I had it twice with my last child and I feel for you. You probably do need antibiotics- esp since it hit you so fast. Drink as much as you can stand and get as much rest as you can as well. One thing they didn't tell me the first time is that the inflammation in the breast can actually decrease your milk supply. We ended up with a nasty nursing strike after the first bout because my supply dropped so drastically. Pump between feeding to keep your breast empty and to keep your supply up. My lactation nurse recommended fenugreek to help get my supply back up where it needed to be and it really worked.
