Been at it for almost 3 years staight exclusively - no bottles period. I can't wait to be finished and I cry when I think of it being done!????
Only for a short time are they able to have this bond with me and I with them. Patience and it will be over in no time at all! In the mean time AHHHHHHHHHH! I need a break!

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
I felt like that with kavin, especially in the beginning. He was tongue tied for the first few weeks and couldn't nurse. So I had to pump and pump and pump and pump some more. that in itself was reason to quit. Then when he did nurse I felt like I was always connected to him and was never able to get anything else done. I was gonna quit so many times. But then I remembered what a blessing it was to be able to nurse him and the closeness and the love I felt everytime I nursed. That brought me back and I am so glad that we had that time for us.

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
I felt like I would like sometime away or a chance to sleep-in especially when she was younger but not really to stop bfing. I don't really like formula and I have so many friends who had problems bfing so I feel blessed that it worked out for me so easily. I love nursing my dd in the morning for her nap it is just a special tiem between us.

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
I sure have my moments...and i've only been bf'ing for 3 1/2 wks.
It gets kind of trying when you've got a little one attached to your boobs half the day AND two other little ones dying for your attention. And i'm so sick of the leaky boobs and non-flattering nursing bras. I have boobies now...i want to wear something hot and show them off! LOL Plus i'm dying for a loud night of beer drinking....I know i can have one or so and it won't hurt her, but note that i said "night"!

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
yep..i get horrible nursing aversions right before my period, and my milk dries up, and nuring is painful, and frustrating, and VERY unpleasant........just when I think I'm going to go crazy, AF show up, the milk comes back, and things are okay again....but 3 days out of every month, I am CERTAIN the next babe is getting totally shafted with formula, LOL!

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
I really haven't. I enjoy it, except when my son is biting me until I bleed. There have been times where I've been afraid I would have to stop, but not that I've wanted to.
I don't think you're alone on this, but I don't think giving the baby a bottle would be easier in the end. |

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
After a night with Zachary latched on ALL night, with out 10 minutes of "unlatching" YES!!! LOL
It's been almost 34 months since he was born, and all night nursing drives me nuts sometimes!

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
I don't know that I've exactly wished we weren't nursing, but I have very often looked forward to a time when he didn't want to nurse anymore. I really don't have those feelings anymore since Aydin only nurses 1-2 times per week at this point.

Re: Be honest, do you ever wanna stop BFing?
Seems like everytime I watch BABY STORY you hear a woman say "I wish someone had told me breastfeeding would be so challenging". So, obviously you arnt alone. Ive had MANY a day where I stopped and thought to myself "geez, I wish I could just fix her a bottle and then I could actually go out with my friends or sleep late." And the tough thing about my daughter is that she WONT take a bottle. I pump on almost a daily basis, but she refuses the bottle, meaning even as much as I want to give my husband a chance to feed her, Im SOL.
I had horrible thrush from about 2 weeks to 4 weeks PP and it made breastfeeding unbearable. It would feel like my breasts were falling apart. But, even through day after day of pain, I stuck with it. Because in the end I know that I would be dissapointed in myself if I put her on formula.
