I have heard about some insurance companies paying for a breast pump. I would like some more info before I contact my insurance company. What insurance has paid and how would I go about it?

We had Kaiser with my dd. They believe in breast milk being best for baby so it was pretty easy... the NICU staff took care of the paperwork.

I would talk to your PCP about it and see what they say.

ETA: if there is a medical necessity (ie: your child can't eat by mouth) most will cover it.

i got my pump from WIC. if you already have WIC just call them
