Toddler formulas?
Do you feed your baby a toddler formula? If so, which one? I was able to bf my first baby well into his second year, since that didn't (well, couldn't would be more accurate) happen with my dd, I'm kind of lost with the whole formula/transition to milk thing. TIA!

Re: Toddler formulas?
I had thought about giving DS toddler formula instead of milk as well, but I read that its not nearly as good for them as milk and has too much sugar in it. I don't know if that goes for all brands, but we just decided to go with cows milk since its so much cheaper anyway.

Re: Toddler formulas?
Skip the toddler formulas. Milk is a better idea and waaaay less expensive.

Re: Toddler formulas?
Our oldest did NOT transition to cows milk well at all. I tried the toddler formula, but he hated it. I ended up using Goats milk, which he loved and still does. It was way less expensive then formula

Re: Toddler formulas?
I go between Similac 2 and another "level 2" formula. DD has shown a lactose intolerance to actual cow's milk so I just have to wait it out for her.

Re: Toddler formulas?
My son just turned 9 mos last Sat and the Ped ok'd us using the older baby formula (says 9-24mos) and its cheaper than regular formula and usually has higher coupon check amounts! I have one for $10! I never did this with my other 4 boys, I just kept them on regular formula (my current baby is on soy) and transitioned to cow's milk at 1yr. I think since my little guy has an allergy to milk I'll keep him on the older baby formula until we figure out if he can tolerate milk.

Re: Toddler formulas?
My girls got the okay to switch to cows milk since they are a year. We are keeping them on formula until October to adjust for their prematurity though. I don't think I'll buy the Step 2 though.
