Toddler formulas?

The only reason to use a toddler formula, truly, is if your DC doesn't eat enough foods to maintain the daily nutrition needs. If you DD eats table foods well, then give cow's milk a try, assuming she was on a cow's milk based formula. If she was on soy or a hypoformula, you will need to take the transition more slowly.

just curious- what's the differences between the infant and toddler formulas? If your DC is at lets say 9 or so months and eating solids, why wouldn't you still want to give them infant formula rather than toddler (assuming you are ff) If your DC is having cows milk intol/sen, would using infact formula be okay?

The second stage milk formulas do have sugar added to it, yep , but are enriched with calcium and iron. I`ve kept my 1st on the first stage until 12 months and second stage from 12 to 18 months old, and still am giving her once in a while a cup of the Enfagrow when she has poor eating days. Lots of breastfeeding mom won`t cut breastfeeding under a year to go to cow milk right away. I`m applying the same idea to formula.

DD could not drink milk (lactose sensitive) and refused all milk alternatives for a while, so we did keep her on Isomil 2 until very recently. Only 1 cup a day though (breakfast). Only in the last couple of days did she decide she likes Silk Soy Milk...but she'll only drink the Vanilla flavor, which has natural sweeteners added.

When you consider that cow's milk's lactose is a sugar, I guess it sort of evens out...right?
