UPDATE Help! Something is wrong with my nipple!

It's gone! I let me son nurse because he is the stronger nurser and it is all better!!! Thanks mamas!


It has a white spot on it and it hurts. It looks kind of like a pmple but it won't pop. What could be wrong? I don't really have money to go to the doctor but if I have to I will. Has anyone ever had anything like that before. It hurts to nurse and well, it hurts to sit here too (just not as bad as when I nurse). Please help!

Thats normal, i got them with both kids, they hurt like heck!
take warm showers and also put cold packs on your breasts, its a nerve/vein and will go away on its own.
I hope you feel better soon, they do go away

The white spot sounds like a plugged duct to me. Nurse on that side as much as possible. Take a hot shower with the spray directed onto the sore bit and massage the area out towards the nipple. It should clear soon
I've had that a few times and it has always cleared with a good amount of massaging and heat. The plug will probably come out as a tiny hard white lump and you'll be back to normal again. Good luck!

Good advice. Thank Goodness i've never had one but if you google milk blister that should give you some info also sounds like that is what it is ETA a link

i had the same thing but it went away on its own after a few days.....treat it though bc it could get worse.

I have a duct that cloggs. Looks and feels the way you describe. I use warm compresses. sometime massaging it gets something out that I'd jokingly call cheese - pretty white and pretty solid.

Where do I massage? It is right on the end of the nipple and the rest of my breast isn't sore.
