Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
it's funny you mentioned this b/c this morning my 4 mo ebf dd was swinging away in her swing and when i picked her up poo was everywhere but in the diaper.
that has never happened before and i hope it doesn't happen again.

Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
I wonder if you had it tight enough? I've only had one blowout with my 3-month old EBF baby, and only a couple times ever with my last baby in cloth. When my dh puts a pocket on ds, we often have leaks (urine) and soaked clothes, because what seems tight enough to him isn't. That doesn't happen when I put the same diaper on ds though, because I put it on tighter.
I hope it was a fluke and doesn't happen again!

Terry.
I find that terry inners tend to hold the poo better. I think all those little loops kinda grab on. |

Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
Yeah, as pps said, I wonder if it wasn't tight enough? I don't think we had many bf poo leaks w/ dd (w/ ds, we have blowouts ALL THE TIME since he was in sposies), and we use pockets exclusively. We have a had a few that were oh so close to the edge ("whew, that was close!").

Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
I'm guessing it wasn't tight enough, too
We never had a leak with dd, but we used fitteds and covers until she was about 2-3 months old then I used VB AIOs and those were pretty snug arount the legs and waist. We couldn't do hemp back then because it was, too smooth and it would sometimes get on the covers. I think velour is pretty nice to catch those EBF poos

Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
I don't know about the pockets thing. . . my 5 mo dd saved it up for a week (!!!) then pooed in her little swaddlebees pocket which held it ALL. . . She did have quite a mess when she pooed that one time while jumping in her exersaucer. . . (can you imagine poo on her shoulders?) I'm guessing it was either not tight enough, or whatever position she was in while she pooed - if there was pressure on her bum or whatever.
keep trying, you'll figure it out

Re: BF Poop Everywhere! What did I do wrong?
Great advice! I will try to make it tighter around her thighs. Thanks!
