landon showers with me sometimes, he's 2. Most nights he takes a bath but sometimes when i jump in he wants to get in too. Lots of times I just put the plug in the tub and let it fill up some while the shower is going and when i'm done, i turn the water off and let him play in the tub while I get dried and clothed. he's pointed before but we didn't make a scene about it. I think we're good to go for a while.

When either person becomes uncomfortable with it,then that's when it's inappropriate.

We co-shower and co-bath? We only just started doing this when we transitioned DS to the big bath out of his infant tub. Honestly, most days I can barely find time to shower so if I can just drain the water, and shower while he happily kicks away? I'm going to do it!

DH also showers with him in the evening- it's just convenient!

My DH and I both bathe with our daughter. She asks to. So, we don't think it's weird at all. She just turned 3.

Most days, if I want a shower at all, DD aged 2.5 goes in with me. She generally just plays in the water the whole time. I don't have a set age, but when one of us is uncomfortable with it, that will be the end. DH has never been comfortable with her even being in the room while he showers.

I agree. My DS showers with me. He's almost 4. He knows anatomical words for body parts. I don't see a problem with it!

I don't think gender has to be a factor. I think you'll know when it's time to stop whenever someone begins to feel uncomfortable. Dh, Kain (4.5yo), Drake (almost 3yo), and I will all shower together. So far, none of us are uncomfortable.

I shower with my DS he is 3 1/2 and my DD does too at 2 years. I am not sure when if ever we'll be modest...maybe when he's school aged

I think that, as with breastfeeding, the child knows intuitively when it becomes inappropriate. He or she will begin to feed uncomfortable showering with you when it's time for him to just do it alone... It'll likely be a consensus that you reach together.
