help me diagnose

I thought both kids just had colds, but I think it's something more. It started off with the usual snotty noses and sneezing and lots of dry coughing especially at night. Judging by my symptoms they also have (very) sore throats and headaches. Then DS woke up with goopy eyes. 2 day later he had spots all over him. He was on his first ever antibiotics for tonsilitis so I'm not sure if that was a side effect/allergy from that or from what he is sick with now. 2 days ago DD started getting goopy eyes. I'm waiting for a the spots to show. DS is fully vaxed to 18 months, DD has her 2 month shots and that's it.

It's the goopy eyes that are throwing me. I don't think it's pink eye, I saw that at the DC when I was working there but I could be wrong. Their eyes aren't pink at all. DS's cleared up after a couple of days, DD's have been that way for 2 days now.

is it regular allergies? ds and dd caught colds and then went away and then a few days later the snotty noses and sneezing were back and ds had purple bags and slimy eyes. i was wonder if its the cottonwood that started to fly here. fhope you figure it out mama!

I have no idea. Is it possible to get a cold in your eyes?? DD's eyes are still goopy today but DS is fine. I just feel so worn out, it seems like they've been sick constantly over the last few months.

I think it's part of the cold--I got sick once and ended up with goopy eyes too, thought I had pink eye and went to the doctor. They said it was just the congestion and cold coming out of my eyes...
