I'm so sorry! That's so scary-it's hard enough leaving your child with a caregiver anyway, and this just makes it even harder! Hang in there!

that sounds horrible. i am suprised the pedi didn't ask you to bring the baby in to get checked out.

My DD fell down a flight of 8 concrete stairs at 15 months old! I almost lost it. I rushed her straight to the ER!

She ended up being fine with just a big goose egg but I was SO hysterical!

Poor baby and poor mama!! Babies are so resilient, at this point it is probably harder on you.

When my younger DS was 15 months, he climbed up on the kitchen chair & it fell over backwards, crushing 2 fingers underneath in on the tile floor. The middle finger was broken & the tip hanging by a thread (8 stitches) & the ring finger had a big gash (2 stitches) & was broken as well. I know what you mean about feeling so helpless when your LO is in pain. (You should have seen me driving him to the ER!)

As I said with our accident, it could have been worse, much worse. Be thankful that he is okay! My son was trying to play normally within 1 day, even with a big old bandage on his hand, an open wound & 10 stitches!!

thanks for all the hugs mamas. i still cringe every time i look at him and he can't open that huge beautiful blue eye.

i was able to gently open it to make sure that his eyeball didn't look damaged in any way, and what i saw looked totally normal.

our babysitter brought him a gift today, which was really, really nice of her. it is a toy tiger that he can open the mouth and it blows bubbles. he loooooooooves bubbles and they usually blow bubbles outside together so he didn't put it down most of the day, even after the bubbles ran out.

he's been in good spirits, he acts like he doesn't even care! man, if i looked like he does right now, it would be ice packs and movies on the couch!

(i just changed my avi to a pic of him from a month or so ago. i'm just in love with his gorgeousness
