Gift ideas for a one year old

So, we've been invited to a birthday party for a little one we've never met. The invite was given to my DH, and he can't even tell me if it's a boy or a girl!!! Please, please, please give me some gift ideas.

im not sure about spaming ettiqutte,but i make some gender neutral colored crochet bunnies, that have helped me out in a pinch. check out my siggy. just a thought..

Books, Puzzles, Leap Frog stuff. Love it.
