Question about Lanugo (fuzz on shoulders and back)
My dd was born 3 weeks early, and had dark hair on her shoulders, back and ears. The drs. said this was normal, and was called lanugo and would fall out, but could take a little while. Well, at almost 9 weeks, she still has it. Has anyone else had a baby with the lanugo still present at this age? I feel like she's gonna be fuzzy forever!
When did it go away for your LO? Thanks!

Re: Question about Lanugo (fuzz on shoulders and back)
My DD was born 4 weeks early and had it too, on her back and her ears. Well she is 3 now and the stuff on her ears is gone, but,it took about 6 months, but she still has dark hair on her back
I can only pray that it will go away.

Re: Question about Lanugo (fuzz on shoulders and back)
My dd was 1 wk early and it does eventually fall out. Her ears were the last thing to go. I think clothes rubbing on her skin helped it along so I used to rub her ears, lol. Id say it took 3 or 4 months although she still is 'hairy' for a lil girl its not nearly as bad! I think it has to do w/ her dark hair too.
