1st birthday gift ideas?

What are your favorite etsy kids toys good for a 1 year old that puts everything in her mouth? What more natural toys do you like (doesn't have to be homemade)?

So far we're planning on getting her a rocking horse type toy and I'm making her some gnomes and a little basket to carry them in. I need a couple more ideas though.

My ds loves his water table...so 50% synthetic plastic and 50% water fun!!
ds loves it though...boats, blocks, splashing...in the summer heat, it is awesome. maybe there is a more natural one on the market!

I bought a bunch of wooden stuff from Moolka.com. Free shipping over 60.00.

He found his stuff already though, and really likes his push toy. It has a cute clown on it that jingles when you push it. He has a xylophone and a touch ball also....I am looking at getting some other stuff too, since he's already found the first things I bought!

DD will be 1 in 2 weeks (gah where did the year go!?!?!)

My weird kid prefers *real* things ...cups, spoons, keys so I dont know what to get her either. The grandparents are getting her some ride on/push toys, I want to get her a xylephone toy and some stacking cups of some sort. I also want to get the Parents Magazine toy keys from target because they look real.

I like oompa.com and threesisterstoys.com. Both of those have natural wooden toys. When people ask what to get dd for her first b-day coming in August I tell them she's really into sorting stuff, so I think sorting blocks would be fantastic. She's getting more mobile now too so maybe a push toy.

I recommend a ride-on push toy. We got one for my now 1-year-old son about a month ago and that is his favorite toy! He plays with it all the time! Here are a couple that are wood...

Not a natural toy but my favorite gift for a 1 year old is one of those little slides. It's the perfect age for it and they get so excited.

Thanks for the suggestions. I don't mind plastic but we have so much all ready from dd#1 that we're finding we have better luck finding stuff the kids play with if we go more natural (or at least no batteries) now. We have push along toys from DD#1, we have ride on cars from DD#1. Well in reality we have everything a child could want and then some from DD#1 but that is another story. Shopping for a 2nd kid is tough.
I think I found a few things we don't really have already from some of your suggestions so maybe I can start figuring out what to get dd#2 for her birthday.
