Re: One too many "She's so beautiful"...(pic heavy)
It drives me nuts! I'm always polite though and I've never made a big deal about it. But he's getting older now and is understanding what they're saying. Like I said in a previous post, he's argued with me that he's a girl and we've had a conversation before of him declaring who is a 'he' and who is a 'her' and he kept going back and forth on which one he was. That's probably part of normal development and realization of self, but I didn't want to fuel a problem because of my desire (to not cut his hair).
Thanks again for the compliments

Re: One too many "She's so beautiful"...(pic heavy)
I loved his long hair but he's super cute with his short hair too. My son's is getting long too, but we haven't had any comments yet about him being a girl but my in-laws are constantly making comments about his hair. They think all males should have short hair almost a buzzcut if you will. It's ridiculous.
ETA: My son didn't get any hair until 18 months so I'm sure as heck not cutting it until I'm ready to.

Re: One too many "She's so beautiful"...(pic heavy)
I'm so partial to long hair on little boys. I'm anti-conformity, I guess you would say! lol I LOVE his hair long. I suppose if you make it a point to (not so nicely) point out to ppl who aren't paying attention to his outfit that he is a boy then maybe that might help... I don't know :-) He's a cutie either way!

I think the long hair thing is still catching on - people dont know enough about it yet to realize.. that's a boy - but I could tell right away! He is v. handsome with the long hair! I like my boys w/short hair, but that is bc in the summer they get too hot with it long or bushy.

Aww, he looks adorable with both lengths, IMO. (And some people will always mess gender up. I've had both dd's called boys when they were drenched in pink
)

Re: One too many "She's so beautiful"...(pic heavy)
i keep my ds's hair somewhat short (he has a bit of a wave/curl when it's longer, but it's never gotten too long that anyone has mistaken him for a girl). this is my personal thought: you can't rely on gender specific clothing to give people a clue. especially the older set will see longer hair and assume girl. frankly, i don't think you should be offended if you chose to keep your son's hair long, even in boyish clothing.
probably not a popular opinion, but that's my take on it in the first pic i can maybe see why people would think girl, it is quite long- but not in the other ones. if it were me and my son was starting to think he's a girl, i'd definitely keep his hair super short. but that's just me.ETA: he's adorable
