Re: To shower or not to shower?
That's what I have always done. My husband travels a lot so it is just my daughter and me. She is almost 2 and we still bathe together.

Re: To shower or not to shower?
My first born was six years old and in afternoon kindergarten when my second and third child were born (twins)...that left mornings for me to take a shower and do some laundry...I CRIED when she started first grade...no more showers for me!
![]() That said...I'm now gammaw, the girl twin (she's 18) has a 7 month old son. Gampaw and I help her ALOT...but one thing she's on her on about is getting ready to go in the mornings. She has a bouncer chair in the bathroom...and she just straps him in and he watches her shower. It works for them!

Re: To shower or not to shower?
This is exactly what I did! Or I just wait until DH comes home.

Re: To shower or not to shower?
I would put them in a carseat or bouncy seat in the bathroom and play peek-a-boo. When they got older I used an exersaucer, my DD still plays in the bathroom while I shower (@ 4yo).
When my DS was super fussy I would put him in a sling and just get a quick shower. I would love if DH's schedule worked so I could shower while he's home, but it doesn't. You find things to occupy them while you do what you have to, lol.

I would never choose to let my baby cry just so that I could get a shower in that second.

Thanks to the bouncy seat I got my daily showers in, in those first months! Now, it's the exer-saucer in the bathroom.

Re: To shower or not to shower?
Boucy seat, right next to the shower. The real plus to that is that the steam will help him breathe easier too! I used to crack the shower door so they could see my face and they didn't cry.

Re: To shower or not to shower?
I would lay my ds on the bath mat while I showered when he was still little (very soft mats and before he could roll over). We also had a curtain that had see through squares on it so I was able to keep an eye on him at all times while in there. He loved it though, the white noise is very soothing to them.
