Mamas of circ'd DS

Bad mommy feelings here so be gentle -
DS1 is circ'd and has been "fixing" himself a lot lately. This morning he tells me something is wrong. So I check him out and his tip is really dry, flaky. I think he's been itching.
What can I do to relieve that? Can I just use lotion?

My kiddos intact, but I thought I'd pop in anyways. I wouldn't use lotion, kind of like you wouldn't use lotion on your girly parts, kwim? Maybe something like vaseline, or that gentle naturals baby eczema cream. Something soothing and moisturizing, but is more of an oily something rather than a lotion.

vaseline or lanolin could help but it might be a fungal infection.

well, i havent had that problem but like the other mamas, i wouldnt use lotion.. esp if its dry it would irritate it more.. but lanolin would be a good choice or of course vasaline.!!! my grandma swears by that she uses it for everything lol..

I was just about to post something like this my ds's is the same way shiny flakey looking..

We haven't had this problem but maybe you could try raw extra virgin coconut oil... it's supposed to have healing and moisturizing benefits... he might smell like a coconut but it would do the trick.
