Tell me about organic merino wool

Do you like it? I read that it gets pilly more than other wool, is this true? I am thinking about buying 3 soakers made from it and have never used it before.

I have a pair of longies, a wrap and shorts made from organic merino wool and I . Mine are even machine washable . I do not know if it is more pilly than other wool, because these are the only ones that get any love in my house, but they still look nice after being use for a month.
