You can also add a bit of chocolate mix to it. My friend who is a lactation consultant said this was fine and won't hurt the milk at all.

I hope to be able to give some breast milk to my ds when my twins are born. I will pump some so that dh can help out once in a while, but also to give some to our ds.

You had mentioned too that it was room temp. and you wanted to use it. Maybe if you had it cold from the fridge Whilder might drink it then. Adding the chocolate doesn't hurt either! I know my ds would go bonkers for that!

Oh I hadn't even thought of that. Are you suppose to re-refridgerate it again after it's thawed...? I thought you had to use it right away or dump it.

This is a great thread because I too thought of giving my milk to my almost 3 year old in her cup. Milk thawed can be stored in the fridge for 24 hours. My only hesitation is what it will do to her bowel movements.

i needed to pump for my second and ended up with a lot lot more than he needed to drink and then we were going to be moving - i gave it to my ds every morning instead of cows milk - seemed to like it just fine - I cant imagine how it would hurt them in anyway

I had a ton of milk going to go bad from ds2 that I gave to ds1 in a sippy cup when ds2 was still being bf and wouldn't take a bottle He never knew

I used to do that when I was still pumping. DD had no idea, I didn't let her see me put it in her cup, then, I'd fill the rest up with her regular milk.
