Have they done an upper GI yet? If not, I would insist on one for the reflux. Tanner is on Zantac but a good friend's little girl is on Prevacid (ms) because Zantac didn't help at all. She also had to be on Allemtium (again ms) forumla and it had to be the premixed liquid form not the powder form. Yes, it made a difference for her. Once they figured all of that out it helped her reflux and she was able to start gaining. Good luck and you and the kids will be in my prayers.

Adrian has had 2 scinitscans but no upper gi since he was born.

I did call the doc to see about getting him in to the specialist earlier, but he said that there was nothing that could be done to stop the head from closing and that there was nothing that could be done for it until it was 100% closed. So I guess it is a waiting game at this point.

A friend of mine's son had this and, yes, they did have to do surgery b/c otherwise his brain couldn't grow. Pressure on the brain could be the cuase of his eating problems!

I too have been through some of your problems. My oldest had big reflux problems but she gained weight, so the Ped Dr wasn't worried. It was always such a mess to deal with though!! So i feel your pain there.

My youngest definelty had life altering health problems. Hers were allergies though. And i mean to everything. She was 33 bls. for three years. When she finally got old enough to go through the skin testing across her back, she reacted to EVERYTHING! Poor little thing had tiny amounts of differenst stuff injected under her skin across her shoulders and back. It was a nightmare to have to stand there and hold her while they stuck all those needles in her. And it wasn't like they could do it all at once. They would inject one, and then draw up another syringe and inject one.

I know as mom's we would rather have what ever is ailing our children be on us rather than them. Rachael also had migraines ( at age 6-7) that were so bad she would scream and throw up until i could finally drug her enough so that she would fall asleep in my arms. And like you i felt guilty that so much time was being spent on her, and that the other ones suffered.

Do you have any family, aunts,uncles, grandmothers that could spend more time with your other little ones? I know it's not the same as you loving on them, but my brother took my son alot to do guy stuff. And my mom took my oldest daughter to help out.

Don't forget to take care of you too. You won't be any help if you become ill or so worn out that you just can't function any more.

I will gladly add you and yours to my prayer list. Prayer is a mighty thing. And in the end, that is what saved Rachael. She went to old fashioned prayer for healing meeting in St Louis. She went forward to be specially prayed over, and that was the last day she ever suffered from allergies. Praise God!!

Keep us updated on what is happening. Alot of good advice above. Bottom line though you know your baby better than any body. So if you think he needs to have another opinion, i would get it. Doctors aren't God. Some just think they are. Kim <><
