I need this baby to SLEEP!

Tanner is 6 months old and a horrible sleeper. We started letting him CIO for a while every night but he would never go to sleep on his own. It would just wear him down enough I could rock him and put him down and he would sleep until around 4:30 a.m. His naps during the day are only 30-45 minutes. It's exhausting. Bedtime can take up to 2 hours of me rocking and going back in there. Dh says he can't get him to sleep so it's all me. The CIO helped for around a week and then we had a death in the family and went out of town so no CIO at the in-laws house. I was up every 1.5 to 2.5 hours. I never slept more than 2 hours at a time since Thursday. And I was on valium and loratab for neck pain. Dh got up too but our 4 year old was also sick and coughing so we were juggling both. What a week. Now Tanner has a cold so no CIO until he feels better. Ahhh, the joys of being a mother.
